Practice often. It is much better to get 20 minutes of practice a day than it is to get 2 hours all at once, one time a week. Consistent practicing is what will help you consistently play. The more practice you can get daily the better, up to a point. Whenever you notice that your hands start to tire out or you are not jumping as well as you were when you first warmed up, quit for the day. You are wasting your time at that point because practicing in sub-optimal conditions will potentially make you worse through developing bad habits only present because of fatigue.

If you can't get warmed up in minutes or your hands are tired from previous days of longjumping, then take a day off. Practice without the bind and focus on a good w release. If you turn on the advanced jump panel in! A lot of people don't realize how much this matters. The timing that you release w at is the action that starts off the chain of timings for all of your strafes.

A lot of people who just start with the bind right off the bat end up blending together their w release and their first strafe, causing them to put a lot of mouse movement in the wrong direction. Releasing w, your first strafe, and your second strafe, are all separate actions that have to happen in rapid succession. They can not all happen at once. Master each amount of strafes before you move on to the next number.

If you are not consistent with 7, practice with 5 until it is second nature, and you could not possibly mess up a 5 strafe jump. It is possible to hit over units with only 4 strafes. I assure you that the key to jumping well does not lie in the amount of strafes you do initially.

The truth is that while you executed the stats part well, you probably messed up something else that was more critical. All stats have diminishing returns. Getting max speed won't make a jump drastically better than one with max speed, and a jump with 90 sync vs a jump with 99 sync should have maybe half a unit difference in them if all other things were equal.

I can't stress enough how important it is to focus on improving your distance, rather than focus on improving stats and hoping that better stats will equal better distance.
